Hanoi to attend Week of Vietnamese Farm Products 2018 in Paris

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Official Letter No. 5791/UBND-KT, requesting Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to cooperate with Hanoi to organize Week of Vietnamese Farm Products 2018 in Rungis Market (Paris, France).
This is part of efforts to introduce Vietnamese farm products and increase export of the products to European markets in general and French markets in particular. 

The Hanoi People’s Committee assigned Hanoi Promotion Center to send an inspection mission to Rungis Market in September 2017. 



 

Based on the result of the inspection and working session with Semmaris Group (operator of the Rungis Market), the Week of Vietnamese Farm Products 2018 in Rungis Market is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese agro, food and aquatic products, and enhance export. The Semmaris is ready to cooperate and support Hanoi in preparing and organizing the event.

The Hanoi People’s Committee plans to open Week of Farm Products in Rungis Market in three to five days in the second quarter of 2018. 


 
It expects to attract 20 to 30 Vietnamese enterprises with 50 to 70 products. Various activities will be offered in the event, such as product introduction before the event, communications activities and product promotion activities, product introduction to retail sellers at the market, trade exchange activities to connect Vietnamese businesses with distributors, retail sellers at the market and others in the French distribution system, food show, and tourism promotion activities.

In an effort to successfully organize the Week of Vietnamese Farm Products 2018 in Rungis Market, Hanoi People’s Committee asks Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to cooperate with the People’s Committee to prepare for the event.
