Hanoi officials pay tribute to late President Tran Dai Quang
Vietnam’s state funeral for President Tran Dai Quang is organized at the National Funeral Hall, No.5 Tran Thanh Tong street, Hanoi from September 26-27.
A Hanoi high-ranking delegation, led by Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai on September 26 paid tribute to deceased President Quang, who passed away on September 21 at the age of 61.
The funeral is held by the Party Central Committee, National Assembly, State President, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. President Tran Dai Quang is laid in state at the National Funeral Hall.
"The Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi People's Council, the Hanoi People's Committee, the Hanoi’s Vietnam Fatherland Front regard with great respect," the delegation wrote on the wreath.
Writing in the funeral guest book, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai noted that President Tran Dai Quang has made great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese party, state and people, especially the people’s police force, as well as to national construction and defense.
His passing is a great loss to the Party, state and people of Vietnam. Party officials, authorities, armed forces and people of Hanoi city expressed grievances for President Tran Dai Quang. Hanoi’s people will be always united and cooperative to develop the capital increasingly rich, civilized, modern, affirm Hanoi’s position in the international arena, worthy of President Quang’s love and expectation, he wrote.
