Hanoi needs to speed up five key transport projects: Municipal Party chief

During the process of construction, the investors and the construction units need to pay special attention to labor safety, quality assurance, technique and aesthetics of the works.

Hanoi’s authorities need to accelerate procedures for implementing five key transport projects to reduce traffic congestions, Kinhtedothi.vn quoted Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue as saying when inspecting the construction site of the five key transport projects in the city on July 5.

Hue requested that during the process of construction, the investors and the construction units need to pay special attention to labor safety, quality assurance, technique and aesthetics of the works.

Besides, synchronous investment is needed for the trees, lighting, sidewalks and the units must strive to complete the works by September this year to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

Specifically, for the project of Ring Road No.3 upgrade from the Mai Dich intersection to Thang Long bridge, the municipal Party chief asked the relevant units to complete the entire route by October 10. For the part of money saved thanks to speeding up the construction progress, the Hanoi Traffic Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board will work with the Ministry of Transport and the municipal government to build an underground walkway in Hoang Quoc Viet street.

For the project of constructing an overpass at the intersection of Hoang Quoc Viet and Nguyen Van Huyen treets, Hue requested the investor to immediately improve sidewalks and road beds, plant trees in the project area to ensure urban aesthtics and environmental sanitation. Hue requested The whole project be completed by September 2.

At the project of constructing elevated Ring Road No.2 from the Nga Tu So intersection to Vinh Tuy bridge, the secretary requested the People's Committees of Dong Da and Hai Ba Trung districts to immediately carry out land clearance for the project.

For the elevated road section from Nga Tu So to Nga Tu Vong intersection, Hue said the investors must complete the project by September 2 to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi. The entire project must be completed by the end of 2021.
