Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh inspected the enforcement of the Covid-19 prevention and control measures to ensure the success of the national high school graduation exam 2021 and encouraged the candidates at Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School where 290 students were taking the exams.
Anh emphasized that the entire political system has never made such great efforts to create the best conditions for candidates like this year.
The graduation exam has been conducted under strict protocols against Covid-19 as the fourth wave of infections has seen serious evolution in many localities.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do said the pandemic evolution was more serious this year than in 2020.
"If in 2020, fewer localities confirmed infected cases than this year. Therefore, the biggest concern is ensuring the health and safety of students and teachers, and the fairness of the exams," Do said.

Hanoi has a large number of candidates, accounting for about 10% of the country’s, thus, preparation for the exams has been carried out carefully. |
Candidates had their body temperature checked and their hands disinfected before entering the exam venues, meanwhile, they must wear masks during the exams. |
Candidates were informed about the pandemic safety measures, the exam regulations, and the items that are not allowed to be brought into the exam room. |
In general, the candidates are quite confident and comfortable when they take the first exam on July 7. |
The work of ensuring traffic safety at the exam venues is strictly implemented. |
