The two nations have prepared for numerous activities to mark the 45th year of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations this year. Among those events, the UK festival is scheduled to take place in early October in Hanoi, with highlight being the presence of the London Orchestra, according to the UK diplomat.
The ambassador thanked the Hanoi authorities for their supports given to the British embassy during the past time. He invited Chairman Chung to join the opening ceremony of the upcoming UK festival.
For his part, the Hanoi leader congratulated Ambassador Gareth Ward on the new tenure and hoped the cooperation between the city and the British embassy would keep thriving in the time ahead.
The Hanoi official also claimed Hanoi’s help in organizing and promoting the UK festival along with other activities to celebrate the milestone of the two nations' relationship.
Based on the strategic partnership of Vietnam and the UK, the two capital cities, Hanoi and London, would reinforce mutual cooperation in the areas of security, education, culture, tourism and smart city building, Chung recommended.
Ambassador Gareth Ward agreed with Chung's proposals, affirming that he would positively connect and call on UK enterprises and experts to broaden their operation in Hanoi .
