Hanoi has planted 210,000 new trees
Actively implementing the program of planting 1 million trees in the Capital city, Hanoi has planted 210,000 new trees for the past time and trimmed 37,530 trees for shade.
The pruning and tending of trees are also done more regularly and efficiently, with more modern means of transport. Of the 37,530 shadow trees taken care of over time, only in the first quarter of 2017, 6,175 trees have been trimmed, the average yield reached nearly 70 trees per day.
Recently, the socialized investment capital for trees has increased sharply with the participation of many big companies such as Vingroup, VPBank, AIC, Vinaconex and so on.
In addition to shadow trees, eight modern parks have been started, dozens of flower shaped seedlings under the advice of Korean and Japanese experts have also been built in some places such as Thong Nhat Park, Sword Lake, Truc Bach Lake, etc.
Director of Hanoi Construction Department Le Van Duc said that the City is expanding the system of tree nurseries, ensuring the supply of high quality trees to meet the needs of the Capital. The Department of Construction has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green Wind Company (Japan) for the coordination, production and delivery of cubicle seedlings and planting techniques for Hanoi.
