The Me Linh District Sports Park envisions a world-class sports complex, designed to potentially serve as an Olympic venue in the future.

The Me Linh District People's Committee announced that the local authority is working with the Institute of Urban Planning and Architecture to gather community input on the 1/500-scale detailed plan for the Me Linh District Sports Park Project.

This project aims to create a state-of-the-art sports complex that could potentially host Olympic competitions in the future.

By 2030, Me Linh is expected to become a thriving ecological urban area at the northern gateway of the capital, featuring urban zones that integrate high-tech agricultural exhibitions with flower cultivation, tourism, and logistics services. The area will also develop ancillary industries for distribution and clean manufacturing.

The Ring Road No.4 – Capital Region project, which runs for 11 kilometers through Me Linh District, will have distinct zoning on both sides: one side for urban development and the other for an agricultural green corridor.

Since residential areas around this green corridor could encroach on it, there is a need to balance residential development to maintain the green corridor.

The l proposed area, designated as GN1-2 in the GN urban subdivision, is intended for green, specialized recreational areas. It will house a comprehensive sports complex, including a central stadium, indoor and outdoor arenas, a multi-purpose cultural center, public sports zones, and supporting facilities.

Me Linh District envisions this sports park as a modern complex of regional significance, ready to host Olympic events in the future.

Developing a detailed plan for this project also helps  define functional zones that meet local growth needs and fit seamlessly into the surrounding infrastructure.
