Hanoi establishes smart control center

Chairman of the Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized that in 2019, Hanoi needs a breakthrough in speeding up e-government construction.
The Hanoi City People’s Committee on February 15 announced a decision to establish a smart control center with eight functional facilities, among the first steps to build the capital’s e-government.

Under the decision, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung will head the committee on e-government building, while his deputy Ngo Van Quy will be the deputy head.

The committee for Hanoi city’s e-government includes a permanent member and 11 other members.

First and foremost, in order to build an e-government and a smart city, Hanoi will establish a smart control center with eight functional facilities in charge of ensuring information privacy and safety, assisting officials in information technology, press and communications management, traffic monitoring and crime prevention in public areas, public services management, firefighting, search and rescue, and healthcare. 

In 2019, the city focuses on implementing a number of functional centers, including the center for information security and monitoring, center for management of press and communication information, center for traffic administration and crime prevention in public places, among others.

Hanoi will speed up the process of setting up and putting into operation the center which integrates some basic components of smart transportation system and smart tourism; maintaining and effectively exploiting core information systems and databases as a basis for deploying specialized information systems and carrying out online public services of advanced levels, including population, enterprises, insurance.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized that in 2019, Hanoi needs a breakthrough in speeding up e-government construction.

Currently, the city has completed the migration of online public services from the old system (on eSAMs system and public service portal at https://egov.hanoi.gov.vn) to the city’s online public service portal at https://dichvucong.hanoi.gov.vn, Chung added.
