Hanoi puts 14 people suspected of nCoV infection in quarantine

According to the Hanoi Department of Health, in Vietnam, as of January 30 morning, no cases of nCoV have been recorded in Hanoi.

The Hanoi Department of Health has applied forced quarantine on 14 people suspected of being infected by the new coronavirus on January 30, Cafef.vn reported.

The 14 suspected cases are now in stable condition, three people have recovered, one is tested negative with the nCoV, others are waiting for test results, according to a report by the Hanoi Department of Health.

In addition, the local health sector has investigated and isolated the houses and surrounding areas of the 14 people and drew a list of 60 others who have made close contacts with them for monitoring. So far, all of them are in good health.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Hoang Duc Hanh said the city's health sector has strengthened surveillance on passengers at Noi Bai International Airport and requested medical declarations upon entry at the border gates.

The city’s health sector also trained and disseminated supervision and treatment instructions for officials involved in disease prevention and control under the guidance of the Ministry of Health. It also made available the hotlines 0969082115 and 0949396115 for the people to report on anything related to the nCoV.

According to Chinese authorities, as of January 30, there were 7,711 people infected with nCoV in mainland China and 170 deaths.
"Every day, the number of infected cases increases by more than one thousand. Besides China, nCoV has spread to 17 countries and territories. The World Health Organization issues a very high level of epidemic warnings in China while in the region and globally, the warning level is high," said the report by the Hanoi Department of Health.

According to the department, in Vietnam, as of January 30 morning, no cases of nCoV had been recorded in Hanoi.
