With 70 booths, the fair includes the participation of about 50 enterprises, cooperatives, and organizations from Hanoi and various provinces, including Hung Yen, Son La, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.

At the opening ceremony on October 2, Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade, said the event was a significant celebration of the 70th anniversary of the capital's liberation (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The activity also provides a valuable opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to display and promote seasonal fruits and agricultural products, which effectively stimulates consumer demand, boosts retail sales in the city, and supports the campaign "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods".

The event enables Hanoi consumers to recognize product brands and understand their origins for informed purchasing decisions.

Hiep stressed that in the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, together with the whole country," the department is committed to helping businesses and organizations from different provinces link their products to Hanoi and cooperate with those from Can Tho, Lam Dong, and Tra Vinh.

The department has organized fairs and agricultural product weeks in Hanoi and helped local businesses promote their products at exhibitions and fairs in Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Kon Tum provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

They also ensured a steady supply from Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces to meet the needs of Hanoi following the flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi.

"Through this event, I hope many businesses and cooperatives will expand their customer base and connect with more distributors in Dong Da District and throughout the city," said the Deputy Director.
