French Rock band Merzhin to make Hanoi debut

The Hanoitmes - French band Merzhin will rock the capital city's Youth Theatre o­n June 20.

The Hanoitmes - French band Merzhin will rock the capital city's Youth Theatre o­n June 20.


The band will play Hanoi as part of its Asian tour that includes Laos , the Philippines , Malaysia , Indonesia and Sri Lanka .

Music o­n the night will include Plus Loin Vers L'Ouest, from the band's fourth crossover studio album, Betti and Las Vegas Parano.

Merzhin, formed by six high school friends and with 10 albums under their belts, including last year's Farther West, has become o­ne of France 's most prominent celtic-rock acts.

Known for their energetic sets and use of instruments such as clarinets, oboes and saxophones, the o­ne-night-only performance, kicking-off at 8pm at 11 Ngo Thi Nham street , is set to be a stomper.
