In welcoming participants to the program “Learning about Vietnam session”, Foreign Minister Assistant Pham Sao Mai said that the program aims to provide foreign guests with official and fundamental knowledge about Vietnam, some of which may prove useful to those who have just embarked on their mission in Vietnam.
Taking place on the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year, “Learning about Vietnam” is designed with insightful and succinct presentations on the Vietnamese culture, history, the country’s profile, key policies and directions, Vietnamese ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and stories shared by experienced diplomats who have spent quite some time working in Vietnam.
“I believe that your experience of the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday in Vietnam) will leave you with warm and fond memories throughout your tenure”, said Pham Sao Mai.
On this occasion, delegates had a chance to learn about history, culture, people, foreign policy, and economic situation of Vietnam.
Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vu Binh said that every year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tries to offer new information and topics to provide international friends with. After participating in the all presentations of the program, delegates visited  and experienced the culture and arts through the play “The North Quintessence” and enjoyed traditional Vietnamese cuisine at Tuan Chau Eco-tourism complex in Quoc Oai district, Hanoi.
