A number of associations of foreign businesses in Vietnam on March 30 sent letters to the Vietnamese government expressing their support and thanks to the authorities’ efforts to ensure social safety during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the governmental portal reported.

Representatives of business associations of Australia, New Zealand, the US, India, Canada, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong (China), and Malaysia said they are committed to strictly complying with the instructions of the Vietnamese government to ensure full safety for all members.

These include self-isolation, wearing face masks and reporting to the local authorities on any possible cases of Covid-19 infection.

Additionally, members of these associations are willing to dedicate time or contributing finances to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic; donate blood or medical equipment; support vulnerable people; exercise social distancing or refrain from inappropriate behaviors during the pandemic.

Foreign enterprises said they are ready to support Vietnam in time of crisis and expressed belief joint efforts from the community would help the country overcome the pandemic.
