Exploring peculiar varieties of lotus flowers in Vietnam
Lotus flowers can be found everywhere in Vietnam, but Hanoi is where you can find the majority of the variants.
When it comes to lotus flower, Vietnam is not only famous for the usual purity pink lotus but also other species of this beloved flower, which possess unique charm and meaning, VnExpress reported.
Tinh De (calming the king) lotus grown at a muddy pond in Gia Lam district, Hanoi is a kind of mutant species with a couple of blooms rising from the same stem. The name of this lotus was given as it was offered to the king. The image of two flowers blooming and dying together also represents the faithful love.

Autumn in Moling lotus, which is brilliant with multi-petal yellow flower, is rarely seen elsewhere. It is grown in Dong Anh district, Hanoi.

The life of thousand-petal lotus is short, about three weeks. The external petal layer looks like the usual pink lotus but there are a number of oval-shaped petal layers inside.
