The "Vietnamese Tet in me" contest is devides into four categories, including: photography, painting, video and literature/poetry. Prizes for each category include a first prize of €500, two second prizes of €300 and three third prizes of €200.
Additional awards, such as the Excellent Collective Prize and Audience Choice Award, will also be presented. The total prize pool is expected to reach €12,000.
Jointly organized by the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and the Union of Vietnamese Women's Associations in Europe, the competition aims to strengthen cultural ties within the community and promote intergenerational connections, especially among younger Vietnamese living abroad.

According to Nguyen Viet Trieu, President of the Union of Vietnamese Women's Associations in Europe and head of the organizing committee, the contest is a celebration of Vietnamese culture and traditions, especially around Tet (Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year), and serves to unite the Vietnamese community with their heritage while sharing the country's image with international friends.
The competition runs until February 15, with the awards ceremony scheduled for March 29. It is open to people of all ages living, studying or working in Europe, regardless of nationality.
At a recent media briefing, Nguyen Manh Dong, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, praised the initiative. He underscored the importance of preserving Vietnamese culture and language, especially among the younger generation, as they represent the future and growing strength of the overseas Vietnamese community.

Dong expressed hope that the contest could eventually be expanded to other parts of the world with Vietnamese diasporas, thus encouraging the continued preservation and promotion of Vietnam's cultural values.
This contest is the first online event under the project "Preservation, Promotion and Promotion of Vietnamese Culture in Europe" initiated by the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and the Union of Vietnamese Women's Associations in Europe.
The project aims to bond generations of Vietnamese people in Europe, fostering love for the homeland, national pride and cultural integration.
