The central highlands province of Lam Dong has almost completed all preparations for the 7th Da Lat Flower Festival to be taken place from December 23 to 27.

The province grows enough flowers to decorate the city and neighboring districts. A huge volume of flowers are planted around Xuan Huong Lake, tourist destinations and along the main city streets. Flowers can be seen everywhere. The local authorities have called relevant departments for further review of preparations for security, food safety, decorations, security and traffic for hosting the festival successfully.
The 7th Da Lat Flower Festival themed “Da Lat Flowers – Marvelous Crystallization from Benign Land”, will feature 16 main activities and more than 30 sideline events, such as Da Lat wine night, flower and ornamental exhibitions,vegetable markets, fashion show, Ao Dai fashion week and among.
The key event of the festival is the “Week of Tea and Silk Culture” promoting local tea and silk industry of Bao Loc Town that will be held from December 23-27. Visitors will have a chance to enjoy an exhibition on famous brands of silk garment; visit tea growing areas; and learn about tea processing, silk manufacturing process.
The program will also include tea leaves picking contest, seminar on the development of the tea and silk industry and ethnic minority embroidery related to the development of high-tech agriculture; fashion performance of silk-made products and more.
Da Lat Flower Festival is an important event for the region as not only does it highlight the beauty of Da Lat flowers and promote Da Lat flower growers but also boosts the local flower industry and acts as a center for local and international flower lovers and growers to interact and exchange experiences. The opening ceremony of the festival will take place at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat City at 8 p.m. on December 23.
