Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Nguyet Nga – senior advisor to APEC Vietnam 2017, Honour President of AWCH congratulate Ambassadors, international friends at the festival. According to her, since the establishment day, ASEAN had made vast steps, from a separated, conflicted and poverty zone to a peaceful, thriving and untied region. Nowadays, ASEAN is not only a bloc, but also a strong, independent, active and united Community. ASEAN also plays role as a big family with common vision and identity, for the human and take human as the development core.

In 2017, ASEAN works strongly, pioneer in launching numerous cooperation idea, assess the centre role in region and higher position in Asia Pacific as well as in the world. Today success of ASEAN derives from glorious history journey, predecessor’s vision and the unity, “unity of diversity”, Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga said. She also pressed that the diversifying culture of ASEAN including folk song, folk dance, folk game or traditional culinary makes common identity of the bloc and become the strength to take ASEAN value spreads over the region.

On behalf of representatives, Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam Noel Servignon highlighted, during 50 years of establishment and development, ASEAN becomes a strengthening bloc including 10 member nations recognized and respected by the international community.

Highly appreciating anniversary activities held by Vietnam, including the today’s program, Ambassador Noel Servigon confirmed, ASEAN Golden Festival is an important emphasis, contributing to promote and enhance understanding about plentiful culture of ASEAN nations’ via cultural exhibition booths, along with music, game, dance and traditional food displays.

At the festival, representatives enjoy a very clinking traditional art performance showcased by embassy staffs, foreign staffs and Hanoi art college students with featuring songs, dances. The attendance of a Philippine singer who gained award at ASEAN+3 Singing contest and dance group from Thailand also heat the atmosphere. Especially, an exhibition zone of photo about ASEAN’s countries and people creates deep impression.
