An ideal destination for exploring the Vietnam War
Vietnam Military History Museum with a large collection of authentic and unique artifacts is one of cultural and historical centers as well as a must-see destination for those wishing to learn about Vietnam army history.
This museum collected, stored and displayed 150.000 artifacts, including many valuable artifacts, collections in terms of history, culture and science that reflect the resistance wars against invaders, military policies, military art from the Hung King to the Ho Chi Minh era.

Exhibit system of the museum includes indoor and outdoor sections with an area of 3,200m2 and 2,500 artifacts.
The first floor of the museum has 3 rooms, of which first room shows military history from the Hung King period to Ngo Quyen defeating the Nam Han invaders in Bach Dang river in 938. The middle room has a statue of President Ho Chi Minh and images of the Anti-French war (1858 – 1945).

The last room shows the fights from the Ly to Nguyen dynasty. There are a lot of valuable artifacts in terms of history displayed here, namely the bicycle carrrying goods during the Dien Bien Phu campaign, MiG19 and MiG21 jet fighters alongside Sam 2 and Sam 3 rockets in the anti-American war, simple and useful bamboo spikes, the tank of mechanized army entering Sai Gon on April 30th, 1975, especially, the tank entering the middle room of Independence Palace.
Vietnam Military History Museum is one of seven national museums with the largest number of exhibits and visitors.
