The program runs from November 28 to December 1 at Long Bien Park in Hanoi.

In about 120 booths, exhibitors will display 1,500 regional specialties, including agricultural products, food, beverages, fish sauce, tea, fresh fruit, dried fruit, honey and handicrafts.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a weekend market featuring OCOP products, agricultural goods and traditional handicrafts from Hanoi, arranged by the Hanoi Cooperative Alliance. There is also a booth from Hanoi's neighboring province of Hoa Binh to market its farm produce and OCOP offerings.

In addition to the vendor booths, the organizers have set up agricultural and rural-themed displays that combine agritourism with entertainment.

Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency, said the program, which starts in 2022, aims to connect the distribution of agricultural and OCOP products from Hanoi and surrounding provinces with consumers in the capital, while also bringing producers together with distribution channels in the city.

“This initiative contributes to stimulating the development of agricultural production and rural areas,” he added.

Local visitors do some shopping at the event booth.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Director of Van Long International Import-Export Investment Company, an exhibitor at the event, highlighted that the company is showcasing a variety of specialties from the northern province of Ha Giang, including the famous Shan Tuyet tea, which has received a four-star OCOP certification.
"It provides an excellent opportunity for the company to increase the visibility of Shan Tuyet tea among consumers in the capital while gaining access to modern retail channels for product distribution," he said.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Lua, director of Global Multi-Business Solution Development and Application JSC, said this program offers another opportunity to promote clean agricultural products and OCOP offerings on the GBAMart e-commerce platform.
