WEF to build a center for Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam
Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh met with Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab on September 11.
At the reception, Prof. Klaus Schwab emphasized that WEF will open a center for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam in the next 12 months after opening similar ones in Beijing (China) and Singapore.
Minister Chu Ngoc Anh highly valued and thanked the WEF’s initiative and Prof. Klaus Schwab for organizing the open forum on start-ups and initiative innovation within the framework of WEF ASEAN 2018.
This is a good opportunity for Vietnam to receive valuable information from the local and international community, the WEF’s experts to develop Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem, Ngoc Anh stressed.
At the meeting, Prof. Klaus Schwab appreciated the role of the Vietnamese government, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, in setting up a policy mechanism for accessing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and encouraging entrepreneurs to innovate.
In particular, the Vietnamese government is creating the environment that is willing to change for adjusting new technologies, master and develop new technologies such as artificial intelligence and robots, Prof. Klaus Schwab added.
