Website promoting tourism in Northwestern provinces to go online

As of January 1, 2013, a tourism website of the eight Northwestern provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Ha Giang will officially open at http://dulichtaybac.vn.

The Hanoitimes - As of January 1, 2013, a tourism website of the eight Northwestern provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Ha Giang will officially open at http://dulichtaybac.vn.

Once operational, the website will be an effective tool to promote the trademark and products of the eight northwestern provinces to both domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, it will provide information about inter-regional tourism activities.

So far this year, the eight northwestern provinces welcomed more than 10.4 million tourists, up 7% from 2011, earning a total turnover of more than VND4.3 trillion, up 4% from the previous year.
