The best 76 students from 11 Vietnamese universities set off to Japan for the Science and Technology program under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths 2.0, to be held in Japan from January 12 to 22.

Vice Director of the Institute of Applied Technology under the Ministry of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Cuong said the programme will help to inspire Vietnamese students and young researchers’ passion in scientific research.

So far, more than 250 Vietnamese students and young researchers have participated in the programme, which is part of the co-operation framework between Japan and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The 10-day event promotes student interest in science and technology through cultural exchanges and learning Japan’s advanced technology.

This is the 4th time Viet Nam has participated in the program.
