The latest Global Rich List 2024 from Shanghai-based research firm Hurun shows all Vietnamese billionaires rising.

Vietnamese billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup conglomerate, has ascended 252 places to 678th on the world's rich list.
In the latest 2024 Hurun Global Rich List, Vuong is reported to be worth US$4.8 billion. In 2023, he was ranked 928th.
Techcombank chairman Ho Hung Anh rose 833 places to rank 1,787 with a net worth of $2 billion.
Tran Dinh Long, chairman of steel giant Hoa Phat Group, jumped 466 places to 1,855 with a net worth of $1.9 billion.

Vietjet Air owner Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao climbed 153 places to rank 2,038, worth $1.7 billion.
According to Hurun, there are 3,279 billionaires in the world, 5% more than last year. The richest man is still Elon Musk, owner of social media network X, and the electric car maker Tesla and SpaceX, with a total net worth of $231 billion.
Elon is followed by Jeff Bezos, who runs the retail platform Amazon, which is worth $185 billion.
