The Hanoi Times - 35 works were awarded with the Vietnam Science -Technological Creation prizes (VIFOTEC 2008) in Hanoi on April 15, including 2 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes.
These works belongs to six categories: Mechanics and automation; materials; information, electronics and telecommunication technology; biology; environmental protection and rational use of natural resources; energy saving and new energy use.
In the field of mechanics and automation, the work of ‘building equipment system and software of information technology and communication to conduct automatic car driving tests’ by Doctor Pham Hong Thanh got the first prize.
The other first prize went to the work called ‘Technological line for manufacturing flying ash of the Pha Lai Thermo-electric power plant with a capacity of 25,000 tonnes a month’ by Engineer Le Tuan Minh and his assistants under the Institute of Materials Science.
The same day, Ms. Nil GuhTas, representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization presented four WIPO prizes to the collective units, individuals and businesses of
