Vietnam’s largest gold and silver jewelry center opened in Hanoi
DOJI Tower, known as the ruby put on the sparkling diamond ring, covers an area of 1,600 square meters with 16 floors and three basements and was designed by French and Italian architects.
Vietnam’s major jewelry retailer DOJI Group has inaugurated DOJI Tower, the largest gold and silver jewelry center in the country, which is one of the high profile projects marking the 65th celebration of Hanoi liberation day on October 10.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on September 6, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said Hanoi has been inviting foreign and domestic companies to invest in shopping malls to attract tourists to the capital.
Over the last nine months, Hanoi has been a favorite tourism destination, said Chung, adding the city target to attract 27 million visits in 2019, including seven million international tourists.
According to Chung, tourism has contributed significantly to Hanoi’s economic development, with revenue grew a record high of 35% year-on-year in the January – September period.
“With more tourists coming to Hanoi, it is essential to have a network of high quality shopping malls and entertainment complexes, particularly in 2020 as Vietnam would take over the ASEAN chair and host important international events such as the Formula One racing,” Chung continued.
“DOJI Tower is another high quality project, which could be a tourist attraction for shopping and sightseeing,” Chung added.
