The two ladies joined the children in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, where they enjoyed traditional song performances and presented gifts to them.

Madame Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President To Lam, and Madame Naly Sisoulith, wife of General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, visited the Birla Children's Village in Hanoi on the afternoon of September 10.

This is in the framework of the four-day official visit to Hanoi paid by the Lao leader and his spouse.

When the ladies were at the village, they were welcomed by Trinh Thanh Huyen, Director of Birla Children's Village, who provided an overview of the facility’s history and mission.

The Birla Children's Village, overseen by Hanoi's Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, is dedicated to caring for children without guardians or those in special circumstances.

After touring the village, the two First Ladies joined the children in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, where they enjoyed traditional song performances, puppet shows, a reenactment of a Persian market, and a lion dance with the Earth God, and a lantern parade.

On this special occasion, Madame Ngo Phuong Ly and Madame Naly Sisoulith presented books, school supplies, and 85 gifts to the children, and took commemorative photos.

With over 30 years of service, the Birla Children's Village has cared for more than 500 children in need. The children here receive education and participate in various cultural, artistic, and sports activities, along with career counseling and job placement assistance, helping them reintegrate into society and build stable futures.
