At the forum, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed confidence that Vietnam-Cambodia cooperation in trade, investment and services will continue to flourish.

Hun Manet acknowledged the recent increase in investment inflows from Vietnam to Cambodia. To date, registered Vietnamese investment in Cambodia has reached over $2.91 billion. Many Vietnamese businesses have been operating successfully and actively contributing to Cambodia's socio-economic development.

The Cambodian Prime Minister called on Vietnamese businesses to invest more in Cambodia, especially in modern agriculture, food processing, digital technology, finance, and automobile production.

As the flow of Vietnamese tourists to Cambodia is the second largest, with 320,000 Cambodians traveling to Vietnam, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed hope for a significant increase in the future.

He emphasized the determination to maintain peace and political stability and to improve the investment and business environment through key measures in all sectors to make investors feel at ease about investing in Cambodia.

The Cambodian Prime Minister called for more forums and business investment workshops between the two countries in the economic and investment sectors with the participation of the leaders of both nations. He urged Vietnamese businesses to invest in Cambodia and Cambodian companies to do the same in Vietnam to diversify production, business and supply chains.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also called on businesses from both countries to invest and promote trade for growth, the consolidation of friendship, and the development of independent, proactive, and integrated economies to ensure the prosperity and happiness of both nations.

The Prime Ministers and leaders of ministries, sectors and enterprises from both countries witnessed the handing over of investment certificates and the signing of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding at the forum.

In the presence of the two Prime Ministers, Vietjet inaugurated a new direct route between Vietnam's capital Hanoi and Cambodia's Siem Reap.
