Vietnam will develop a code of conduct on social networks
The development of the State management of information on the Internet was approved in the Vietnam`s National Assembly resolution.

On December 4th, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications, there was a handover conference of the State management agencies in November. During the conference, there were many important reports on the Internet situation in Vietnam.
Advertisements appear on malicious content

Developing State policies on information management on the Internet
Speaking at the conference, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan requested units under the Ministry to strengthen the State management in the period from now until Lunar New Year.
"The Department of broadcasting and electronic information should study the management of phone and game cards in electronic payment and electronic games online. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring and supervising the provision of information on the Internet.

"It is necessary to continue working with large enterprises providing cross-border services on solutions to the acivities of giving false information, affecting to national security, political security and social security. Meanwhile, reporters on the incitement, lack of social standards also should be dealt with "Minister Truong Minh Tuan directed.
Regarding to the work in December, the Minister requested to complete the regulations on management of online information activities, especially cross-border services, in order to ensure an equal and transparent legal environment.
In addition, priority should be given to the development of digital content foundation in the country while adopting policies to support domestic enterprises to build the basic foundation such as social networks, searching tools and e-commerce.
One of the issues is to develop and implement a code of conduct for social service providers and users in Vietnam. This is aimed at building a healthy and secure social networking environment. This is a requirement set forth in the National Assembly resolution. However, Minister Truong Minh Tuan emphasized that after building this code, people should be widely consulted through newspapers and social networks.
In addition, Ministry of Information and Communications will develop a set of tools to collect, analyze and manage network information, infringing information as well as tools for ratings web based on assessments to establish State management policies on information on the Internet.
