Vietnam topple Japan in int'l Robocon finals

The Lac Hong University Robocon team triumphed over their Japanese rival to take out this year`s International Robocon contest in Pune, India, on August 24.
The contest attracted 18 teams from 17 countries and territories, including two teams from India and remaining teams from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, the Republic of Korea and Russia.
 
 
This year's contest, organised under the theme "A Salute to Parenthood", saw top performances from Vietnam, Japan and Indonesia. Vietnam also overcame Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Egypt and Indonesia to set up a finals clash with Japan.

This is the fifth time the team has represented Vietnam at an international contest and claimed prizes.
