Vietnam to promote supporting start-up and job creation for youth
This key task was paid special attention by many delegates at the 28th plenary conference of the Vietnam National Committee on Youth held in Hanoi on March 10.
Speaking at the meeting, First Secretary of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Vietnam Le Quoc Phong, Chairman of the Vietnam National Committee on Youth said that the committee have well implemented many activities to spread a start-up spirit to the youth. However, he noted that the committee needs to soon have more support mechanisms and policies for the youth.
Particularly, it is very important to establish a supportive policy mechanism for start-up in 2017, Secretary Phong stressed.
In addition, the committed should deal with problems of employment and career orientation for students, according to the HCYU Secretary.
The committee will work with relevant ministries to study and formulate a comprehensive revision of the 2005 Youth Law in the coming time.
It will focus on propagandizing and guiding localities and relevant units to implement a number of legal documents, youth policies and youth work.
The Vietnam National Committee on Youth will effectively implement its external activities in accordance with the 2017’s plan, especially the external affairs of the youth in the ASEAN region, joining international projects to support and youth development.
Besides, it will coordinate with ministries and agencies to inspect 10 provinces and ministries on the implementation of the Youth Development Strategy and the Government's Resolution on the Action Program to implement the resolution of the Party Congress on strengthening the leadership of Party for youth work.
