Vietnam shines in RSVP Live’s list 10 travel destinations you need to consider this year
Maldives, Japan, Seychelles, Barbados and Vietnam are among some stunning options for your 2019 holidays.

Vietnam has been named among the best 10 travel destinations you need to consider this year, according to a list, released by RSVP Live, a modern Irish woman’s choice for news, information and entertainment.
Whilst Vietnam might not immediately spring to mind when you think of a luxury beach holiday, Ninh Van Bay is emerging as a destination in its own right, with tropical jungles, soft white sands and incredible sunsets.
“Spend the first part of your holiday soaking up the sights and sounds of Ho Chi Minh, before heading on to a luxury beach resort on this unforgettable two-center getaway. 10 nights from US$2,496, including a saving of US$1,219 if booked before January 31,” RSVP Live wrote.
Maldives tops the list, followed by Japan, Seychelles, Barbados, Mauritius, Vietnam, Thailand, Canada, Costa Rica.
The number of foreign visitors to Vietnam in 2018 is estimated at 15.5 million, a 19.9% increase from 2017, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
Arrivals by road, air in the reviewed period recorded on-year increases of 59.6% and 14.4%, respectively, while growth was also seen in the number of visitors from all five continents.
In 2018, increases were recorded in the number of holidaymakers from most markets, particularly South Korea (44.3%), China (23.9%), Taiwan – China (15.9%), Thailand (15.8%), Malaysia (12.4%), Japan (3.6%) and Singapore (3.1%).
According to VNAT, Vietnam’s tourism revenue is estimated at VND620 trillion (US$26.5 billion) in 2018, an increase of nearly VND110 trillion against the previous year.
