For tourists looking for a place to enjoy nature and retreat after stressful working hours, Dinh Thuong Than (Peak of Fairy) - a 3,000 sqm garden located 30km from downtown Hanoi - is an ideal destination.
The garden is located in Dong Dau village, Tien Xuan commune, Thach That district, during the blooming season of jungle flame (Ixora coccinea).
The rich red hue of the jungle flame makes the garden stand out in the midst of the scorching heat, resembling a row of high-hanging red lanterns. There are many flowers in the design, which makes for some great photo opportunities. The owner of the garden said that the trees were chosen because they bloom all year round.
The rustling, green leaves of the trees make women feel as if they are drawn into a dreamy picture of nature wherever they sit.
The owner of the garden was also quite creative in how she designed the space, creating narrow staircases, intersecting walkways in the form of a blooming lotus, symbolizing a serene, tranquil spirit similar to a lotus blossom in the center of the hills.
The reason why the owner of the garden named it Dinh Thuong Than was that on the day she planted it, it was a mild spring day with clouds floating over the hillside and white storks returning from the opposite side of the mountain.
Recently, the garden has also become a camping site for nature-loving souls who want to live closest to nature but still enjoy the cleanliness of a garden space with human care and love. With easy and convenient access, this area is very attractive to Hanoians for day trips or overnight camping.

In spring, hundreds of peach, pear and plum trees bloom. Many visitors said they felt lost in a fairyland when walking in the garden covered with peach branches full of flowers and a carpet of buckwheat flowers under their feet, similar to famous places in Moc Chau and Ha Giang.
For young people who want to go camping, Ham Lon Mountain - Dong Do Lake in Soc Son District is an interesting destination for a day trip away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The 60 hectare lake is located between large mountains with lush green pine forests. Its beautiful nature and fresh air make it a unique picnic spot.
A vacation at the tranquil lakes offers tourists not only relaxation and contact with nature, but also activities such as camping, fishing, forest walks, cycling and kayaking.
Trekking on Ham Lon Mountain is another wondrous option for those who visit Soc Son District.
At an altitude of about 460m in the Doc Ton mountain range, the mountain is famous for its beautiful scenery, pleasant climate and varied terrain.
Dong Do Lake is not only a beautiful campground and a well-serviced resort, but also a rich fishery. You can catch black pike weighing more than 10 kg and everything is completely free. You can camp with your family. All rental services for tents are very affordable. With a large lake, you can rent SUP to paddle yourself around.
