Vietnam achieves electronic invoicing milestone
At the 2024 Tax and Customs Forum, it was announced that 100% of businesses in Vietnam have adopted electronic invoicing. This milestone highlights the country’s digital transformation in tax management. Additionally, 99% of companies now use online tax declaration and e-tax filing has saved significant time and costs, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
A US$102-million airport project announced
Ca Mau Airport project costing VND2.4 trillion (US$102 million) has been announced, with a terminal capacity 500,000 passengers per year, expandable to one million. The airport will be able to accommodate A320 and A321 aircraft, with new taxiways, and aprons.
Direct services strengthen Vietnam’s maritime trade
Vietnam has established 22 mother vessel services from Cai Mep - Thi Vai to the US and Europe, ranking second in Southeast Asia. This direct access eliminates the need for cargo transshipment at international hubs, reducing logistics costs. From January to September, cargo throughput at Ba Ria - Vung Tau port exceeded 100 million tons, a 25% increase from the previous year.
Tourism Week boosts Quang Ngai’s appeal
Quang Ngai Tourism Week 2025 will be held from April 12 to 20, 2025 to promote local tourism potential and boost economic growth. Key events include the “Ly Son - Garlic Kingdom” food festival, a paragliding show, traditional boat races, and the Hoang Sa Soldier Commemoration Ceremony.

Festivals celebrate Trang An’s heritage
The Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival and Ninh Binh Culinary Tourism Festival 2024 will be held in late October. Featuring 35 hot air balloons and culinary events showcasing traditional dishes, the events celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An’s UNESCO recognition. Visitors can enjoy paragliding, culinary competitions, and a massive food demonstration, enhancing Ninh Binh’s tourism profile.
Red River Delta tops in foreign investment
The Red River Delta attracted attracted US$11.87 billion from January to September. Haiphong topped the localities with US$1.7 billion registered, followed by Hanoi with $1.5 billion, and Vinh Phuc $507 million.
