Inauguration of the Vietnam Tourism Information Center in India

On May 16, Vietnam Airlines inaugurated the Vietnam Tourism Information Center in India and announced that it would operate the Airbus A350 wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City-Delhi (India) route, replacing the Airbus A321 narrow-body aircraft.

 

The Vietnam Tourism Information Center in India aims to effectively tap the Indian tourism market and attract more Indian tourists to Vietnam.

 

Russian pianist Boris Giltburg to perform in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City

 

Russian pianist Boris Giltburg will perform for audiences in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the nights of May 21 and 22 in a show entitled "Boris Giltburg - Piano Recital". His performances are the inaugural shows of the SOLO International Concert Series. His pieces include Trong Com (Rice Drum) by Vietnamese musician Dang Huu Phuc.

 

Born in 1984, Boris is one of the most inspiring pianists in the world. He won the 2013 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Belgium.

 

Vietnamese Pagoda anniversary ceremony in Thailand

 

A ceremony was held on May 15 to celebrate the 190th anniversary of Khanh Tho Pagoda, one of the first Vietnamese pagodas in Thailand's western province of Kanchanaburi. According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Khanh Tho and other Vietnamese pagodas in Thailand are places where Vietnamese nationals can practice their faith and show their love for the motherland.

The Deputy Minister also thanked the Royal Family and the Government of Thailand, as well as Kanchanaburi Province, for supporting Vietnamese nationals in assimilation while preserving their cultures and customs.

Pandora Group builds factory in Binh Duong

 

The groundbreaking ceremony for a Danish Pandora Group factory was held on May 16 at the VSIP III Industrial Park in Tan Uyen City, in the southern province of Binh Duong. The project, with a total investment of over US$150 million, is Pandora's third factory in the world to use 100% renewable energy, making a positive contribution to Vietnam's green transformation. 

 

It is also the Group's first carbon-neutral factory in the world. Once operational, the factory will employ approximately 7,000 people and have the capacity to produce 60 million pieces of jewelry per year.

 

Vietnam Airlines to resume Danang-Dalat flights

 

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will resume flights between Danang and Dalat on June 1, following a recent proposal by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee. There will be three return flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

 

The Danang-Dalat route was discontinued at the end of November 2023. Currently, Vietnam Airlines only operates flights from Da Lat to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Hanoi enterprises to participate in Foodservice Australia 2024

 

A Hanoi trade promotion delegation will open the "Hanoi - Vietnam" booth at the Foodservice Australia 2024 exhibition in Sydney, Australia on May 19. Some of the products to be promoted at the fair include rice vermicelli noodles (bun), vermicelli noodles (mien), dried rice noodles (pho); cashew nuts, coffee, pepper, various dried nuts, spices, wooden straws, and many other One Commune One Product (OCOP) products.

 

The trade fair is expected to attract around 400 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors. A trade seminar and market connectivity for Hanoi's agricultural, aquatic, food, and OCOP product enterprises with businesses from Australia and New Zealand will be held on May 18.

 

Exhibition presenting Hanoi's science and technology achievements opens

 

The exhibition showcasing and promoting Hanoi's outstanding achievements in science, technology and innovation will run from May 16 to 18 at 258 Vo Chi Cong Street, Xuan La, Tay Ho District, Hanoi. This activity aims to attract organizations and individuals in the city who are actively engaged in science, technology and innovation.
