Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urges compeletion of Long Thanh Airport in one year 

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 3 urged the investor of the Long Thanh International Airport in the southern province of Dong Nai to ensure the project's December 2025 completion deadline. This is his 5th visit to check the construction progress of the country's biggest airport which costs an investment of US$16 billion. 

Vietnam earns US$13.2 billion from timber and woodwork exports in Jan-Oct

Vietnam's timber and woodwork exports rose 21% to $13.2 billion in the first 10 months of 2024. The US remained the largest market, accounting for more than 50%, followed by China and Japan. The sector targets to reap $16 billion in exports this year.

Vietnam's seafood exports to reach $10 billion in 2024

Vietnam is estimated to earn $10 billion from seafood in 2024, up 11.5% on year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). The key staples are shrimp, pangasius, and tuna. China was Vietnam's top export market, followed by the US.

Singapore's Keppel among Vietnam's leading foreign real estate developer

Singapore's Keppel Corporation has invested over $3.8 billion in Vietnam's real estate market, becoming one of the largest foreign property developers in the country. In a meeting with Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man on December 3, Keppel highlighted its focus on real estate projects and expanding operation plans.

Highland Festival celebrates ethnic heritage and traditions

The "Highland Market - Welcome 2025" festival is now running until January 1, 2025 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi. With over 100 participants from 16 ethnic minorities, the event showcases traditional ceremonies, folk performances, handicrafts, and local cuisine. Highlights include the Mong Nao Pe Chao New Year and cultural performances from the northern highlands.
