Vietnam launches first online tourism directory

HCM city has become the first national tourism body to launch a free directory for tourism and hospitality businesses of any size or location.
“With this directory the city will provide convenient access to tourism information and products and thereby promote tourism, a key economic industry of the city,” said HCM City Department of Information and Communications Deputy Director Le Quoc Cuong.
A core feature of the new website, which is open to hotels and restaurants, is that it will increase their global reach and enable them to be searchable and contactable by the overseas market.
Another key feature is that it provides an emergency and information telephone hotline for travelers to call if needed for incidents related safety or travel security.
It is also accessible in both Vietnamese and English.
