Vietnam ICT COMM 2016 kicks off in Hanoi
The Vietnam ICT COMM 2016, co-chaired by the Ministries of Information and Communications and Industry and Trade, opened at the International Center for Exhibition in Hanoi on July 20.

The Vietnam ICT COMM 2016, an exhibition of information and communication technology was held in Hanoi from July 20-22.
The exhibition displays information and communication technology products, telecom services, Internet services and applications, as well as games, software, electronics and ancillary industries.
At the exhibition, some 150 enterprises from 15 foreign countries and territories including Japan, Republic of Korea, India, Singapore, Germany, Australia, the United States introduce more opportunities to develop cooperation among businesses.
On display at nearly 200 domestic and foreign booths are information and communication technology products, telecom and Internet services and applications, as well as games, software, electronics and ancillary industries.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Phan Tam noted that the event is a promising start for Vietnam to implement a programme to develop broadband telecommunications infrastructure by 2020.
The exhibited products and services at the event are expected to be widely used, contributing to socio-economic development, Tam underscored.
The three-day exhibition creates a venue to connect local and foreign enterprises while serving an effective interactive channel for policy-makers and the business community to fulfill the legal environment, which will help branch out the Vietnamese information and communication industry.
The event is a good opportunity to introduce and promote products and services of the Vietnam's information and communication technology sector, and create an environment for technology demonstration enterprise services.
Participants at the exhibition will have a chance to share experience in innovation, business management efficiency and the application of IT in trade activities.
In addition, there will be seminars on developing mobile phone apps, network security, job-oriented consultations and ICT resource training during the exhibition.
