At the conference, two ministers also stressed the importance of ensuring greater efficiency in bilateral cooperation in crime prevention and fight, focusing on suppressing trans-border crimes, such as terrorism, cybercrimes, human trafficking, drug-related offenses, and illegal immigration.
The two ministries have been actively coordinating in the combat against different types of crimes since 2018, especially those related to drug, economic and cyber-crimes.

Amid rampant cybercrimes in two countries, Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security has been supporting its counterpart in investigating offenses involving Chinese nationals in Vietnam and handed over to Chinese police.
Law enforcers in the two countries have also successfully resolved the trafficking of Vietnamese women and girls to China.
