In spite of constant recruitment, Gameloft – the production and publisher, hasn’t found enough well-qualified staffs and is always short of staffs for new projects.
Supply doesn’t meet demand
The initial salary depends on the recruitment exam results, motive, experience as well as qualification. Take for an example, salary for a programmer will be US $ 250- 270 net and may be higher for excellent staffs. With position of QA game, the salary will be US $ 150-180 net accompanied with other items besides salary. The level of salary, reward and advancement is based on capability and effort of staffs in all positions.
From 2007 to now, Gameloft’s primary personnel demand is game project management, game design, 2D graphic, programming and testing of game quality. The company often recruits 15-20 programmers and twenty testers each month but supply doesn’t meet demand.
According to the head of personnel division – Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn, in general in the recruiting process, candidates often failed proficiency tests because they aren’t proficient in English.
Mass recruitment
Now, Gameloft needs 3-4 project managers. Candidates must be able to organize, solve problems quickly, manage, work within a team and have university or master degrees in IT or business administration In addition, the company is also recruiting 3-4 game designers who can create and develop initiatives and content of games. The company needs 100 computer programmers and 100 game quality testers.
