The lab will develop platform technology for embedded software and systems. An agreement was also signed the same day by Coltech and Toshiba to promote co-operative research and development projects.
The move was good news for Vietnamese software engineers, Rector of Coltech VNU-Hanoi Prof Dr Nguyen Huu Duc said.
“The lab will be a good place for our partners to produce qualified human resources for our country’s development,” Nobuhiro Yoshida, corporate vice president of Toshiba Corp pledged to continue assisting Coltech in training engineers to meet increasing national demand.
“The lab will be a good place for Coltech IT students and teachers to study and research this area of soltware,” he said.
Since 2005, Toshiba has granted 134 scholarships for the VNU in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Technology.
