The TIME magazine has announced its list of top 100 greatest places in the world and the Golden Bridge in Da Nang city is on it.

Accordingly, this is the first annual of the world’s greatest places as chosen by  the TIME magazine.
“Walk through the hands of Gods over this spectacular new bridge in Vietnam. The splendid architecture deserves a spot on this list of greatest places,” TIME wrote.
Tianjin Binhai library (Tianjin, China) tops the list, followed by the Golden Bridge (Da Nang city, Vietnam), Louvre (Abu Dhabi), Cycling through water (Genk, Belgium), Morgan’s Inspiration island (Texas), etc.
Earlier, The Guardian, a UK daily newspaper, has named Golden Bridge in Da Nang the number one destination with the latest in a line of weird and wonderful structures around the world.
The Golden bridge, held up by two enormous stone-coloured hands, was opened in June to the public in the Ba Na hills, near Da Nang in central Vietnam. It is the latest in a series of statement footbridges around the world.
The bridge is 150 meters long and 1,400 meters above the sea level, with views across the green mountainscape. It took just under a year to construct.
“Golden follows in a line of unusual footbridges, seen everywhere from Iowa to India: structures that are noteworthy as architectural statements in themselves, rather than accessories for an already popular location,” The Guardian wrote.
The city's tourism sector saw impressive growth during the first half of 2018, receiving about four million visitors, up 29.4% year-on-year, of which 1.6 million were foreigners, up 47.1%, according to the department.
The city hopes to welcome nine million visitors by 2020, with 30% being international holidaymakers, and rake in VND31.5 trillion (US$1.38 billion) in revenue.
