Tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia

Such was stressed by Hanoi Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai during the meeting with Samdech Heng Samrin, Honorary President of the Cambodian People`s Party, Chairman of the Cambodian National Assembly and the National unity development of Cambodia, on June 24.


 
The meeting saw the attendance of Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Nguyen Van Giau, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and  the representatives of the leadership of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Committee and  the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


At the meeting, on behalf of the city's leaders, Secretary Hoang Trung Hai said, the visit of the Cambodian National Assembly delegation is of special meaning, on the occasion of 50th diplomatic ties establishment anniversary  (Juse 24, 1967-2017). The people of Vietnam in general and the people of Hanoi in particular are always watching  closely the development of Cambodia and are glad at the economic, cultural and social achievements that Cambodia has gained in recent years.

Praising  the victory of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) in the recent communal  elections, the secretary of the Communist Partyof  Hanoi said the victory  demonstrates the Cambodian people's confidence in the leadership of the CPP and the  faith in the  leadership of King Norodom Sihamoni, the National Assembly and the Royal Government of Cambodia.


 
Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai expressed his pleasure at the strong and comprehensive development of the relationship between the two nations during the past time, especially with the construction of the  Phnom Penh - Hanoi Friendship Boulevard in Phnom Penh. The Secretary of the City Party Committee hopes that the two countries will continue to cooperate comprehensively in various fields, thus promoting the relationship between the two countries. He is also preparing to join the  visit to Cambodia in July, led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. On this occasion, Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai wished CPP to continue winning the 2018 general election, leading Cambodia on the road to prosperity.
 
On behalf of the Cambodian delegation, the President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin  who expressed his admiration for Vietnam's economic, social and cultural development. The Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin hoped that the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop and bring about practical benefits for the two peoples
