The Han River Bridge is the first swing-bridge in Vietnam, which connects Hai Chau district to Son Tra district. Every day at 1am, the bridge will be rotated 90 degrees. Tourists often wait to see the bridge swing with excitement.
The Son Tra Peninsula is 10 kilometers from the city’s center to the northeast. The road to the peninsula is bending, with the cool air. On the peninsula, you can visit the only jungles of Da Nang and see the city panorama.
Hai Van pass is more than 20km long, located in the border between Thua Thien Hue and Danang. With a height of nearly 500 meters above sea level, Hai Van Pass is the most beautiful and also the most dangerous pass in Vietnam. A trip to discover the pass by motorcycle is the choice of many travelers.

Ngu Hanh Son – The Marble Mounts is approximately 7 kilometers from Da Nang’s center, next to the Marble Mountain resort. Ngu Hanh Son is the five mountains representing the five basic elements – Metal, wood, water, fire and earth which look like the oasis emerging among a vast rock dune. This is also the home to many famous temples of Da Nang.
The Non Nuoc stone carving village was formed in the 18th century by an artisan from Thanh Hoa province named Huynh Ba. The village is at the foot of the Marble Mounts with many shop selling stone-made souvenirs. Here you can find all the items made from stone, from statues to beautiful bracelets.
Ba Na Mountain is 40km to the southwest of Da Nang, with huge ecological and tourism values. It is a nature reserve with many French-styled villas for tourists.
Cam Ne sedge mat making village is 14 km to the southwest of Da Nang, where has been long famous for traditional sedge mats which were used by the Nguyen royal family in the past.
The Tuy Loan ancient village is along National Road 14B. This village is over 500 years old and its ancient communal house is recognized by the Ministry of Culture as the national historical site.
Hoi An ancient town is 40km from Da Nang, where has many cultural and historical sites. The road to Hoi An runs along the beautiful coast.
The beach of My Khe.
My Khe and Non Nuoc are beautiful beaches of Danang. Running along the coastal road towards Hoi An, you can stop to swim at any beach.
The Cham Sculpture Museum was built by the French. The museum has about 300 sculptures on display inside and outside the main building. Tickets are VND30,000 ($1.5) only.
Da Nang Cathedral is located on Tran Phu Street. It was built in 1923 to serve French Catholics residing in Vietnam. Locals call it the Con Ga (Chicken) church because the church roof has a chicken icon.
Con and Han markets are the two biggest markets in Da Nang where you can buy many things as souvenirs and gifts.
