Sun Star lists seven must-visit locations in Ho Chi Minh City
Some tourists think it would be interesting to go back to Ho Chi Minh City and explore other parts of Vietnam.

Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, and Saigon Central Post Office are just few of the wonderful destinations in Ho Chi Minh for travelers taking an adventure trip, Claire Algarme wrote in an article published on Sun Star, a Philippine English-language newspaper.
The writer has named Ben Thanh Market the number one destination among the best seven locations across Ho Chi Minh City. “Ben Thanh Market with over a century-old structure is one of the famous destinations in Ho Chi Minh City,” Sun Star wrote.
Ben Thanh market is followed by Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Saigon Notre Dame Basilica, Saigon Central Post Office, Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum, and Tao Dan Park.
Earlier, Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked 5th among the 10 hot travel destinations that are expected to see the sharpest increase of tourists by 2025, according to a list released by TravelSupermarket, a travel deals website.
The survey is based on data from Euromonitor to find out just which major cities will see the fastest percentage growth in tourist arrivals by 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City attracted nearly 4.4 million foreign visitors in the first seven months of 2018, according to the municipal Tourism Department.
In 2018, the city’s Tourism Department plans to complete a tourism development strategy which identifies key tourism products and markets to better serve the demands of both domestic and foreign visitors. The southern metropolis is expected to receive 7.5 million foreign visitors this year.
In 2017, the city welcomed more than 6 million international tourists, an increase of 22.8% from 2016, reaching 110% of the set plan. Total tourism revenue is approximately at VND116 trillion (US$5.11 billion), up 12.6% over the same period last year and meeting the set plan. China was the biggest source of visitors, followed by South Korea, Japan, the US, Taiwan (China) and Russia.
