Strengthening cooperation between Economic & Urban Newspaper and Vientiane Mai Newspaper

On October 5 morning, the Vientiane Mai Newspaper (Laos PDR) and the Economic & Urban Newspaper have signed MoU to further develop the long-term relationship and cooperation between the two organizations.

At the invitation of Chief Editor of the Economics & Urban Newspaper (Vietnam), Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, delegation of Vientiane Mai Newspaper (Laos PDR) led by Chief Editor Thongluen Phimma Sane in an official working visit to Hanoi from September 30 to October 6.

During the visit, on October 5 morning, the two sides had a meeting to discuss, exchange professional experience in journalism, especially the method of exchanging information to support the two countries, two Capitals to be posted on the publication of the two reports on demand and the ability of each party.

At the meeting, Chief Editor of the Economics & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc on behalf of officials and reporters expressed his gladness to welcome Vientiane Mai delegation. The working visit of the delegation with special meaning to tighten and promote good relations between the two newspapers and bilateral friendship between the two Capitals as well as Vietnam - Laos brothers.

In response to the warm welcoming of staff, reporters the Economics & Urban Newspaper, Mr. Thongluen Phimma Sane felt very happy and thankful. He presented an overview of 41-year-old development history of the Vientiane Mai Newspaper. At present, there are 47 reporters and staffs, the Vientiane Mai Newspaper has been strengthened, reaching a circulation of 5,600 sheets/day. Vientiane Mai Newspaper also needs to improve professional skills for journalists in the coming time, to increase the amount of releases.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, the Chief Editor of the Economics & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc congratulated the achievements of Vientiane Mai Newspaper in recent years. He also confirmed that in the future, the two agencies will promote relations and cooperation to a new height, which would further exchange professional signing cooperation to improve the quality of the publications of the two agencies.

Based on satisfaction of performance over time, the two sides agreed to continue developing long-term relationships and cooperation that has been established in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two newspapers in Vientiane on November 20, 2010.

Specifically, the two newspapers will often exchange the situation on each side, helping each other in professional activities. Strengthening the exchange of information to propagate on the publication of two newspapers, especially on the important events of the two Capital, two countries.

Both sides will create favorable conditions in its ability to allow for staff and reporters of two newspapers to serve propaganda of important events taking place in the Capitals of the two countries.

At the same time, continuing the regular exchange of visits between delegations, annual alternating with the number of members of each group must not exceed 5 people. Specific issues, the two sides will inform each other before each visit.

This Memorandum of Understanding is signed in Hanoi in two languages of Vietnamese and Lao.

With the authorization of the Hanoi People's Committee leaders, at the meeting, the Chief Editor of Economics & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc gave the gift of Hanoi People's Committee for the Vientiane Mai Newspaper.
