Nestled in the heart of Hong Van Ecological Tourism Area, Hong Van Commune, the restaurant boasts a professional management team, attentive staff and experienced chefs.
It offers customers a refined traditional culinary experience of the Red River Delta, meeting three criteria of delicious food, good services, and reasonable prices.
"Receiving the plaque motivates us to introduce renowned dishes from Thuong Tin," said Do Ba Tuy, representative of the restaurant.
There are also other activities to present the local and culinary culture to tourists, he added.
"We are committed to putting customer service quality at the as the top-list priority, and bringing Red River Delta cuisine closer to tourists when they visit Hanoi," Tuy said.
According to Trinh Xuan Tung, Head of the Accommodation Management Department under the Hanoi Department of Tourism, there are certain criteria a business must meet to receive the plaque.
Tung said that the information on product quality and prices must be posted, the food must ensure hygiene, and the restaurant must have proper equipment for processing and storing food.
In addition, the menu must be in both Vietnamese and English, and the staff must be well trained and have a good attitude during service, the Hanoi official said.
"The certification is crucial to enhancing service quality, boosting business efficiency and diversifying tourism products," Tung said.
Certified businesses will have the opportunity to gain customers' trust, become more competitive, and boost Hanoi's tourism industry, he said.
"The Hanoi Department of Tourism will continue to develop these businesses as they have proven their ability to better serve tourists and improve cooperation with tour operators," he said.
Tran Thi Lan, Deputy Head of the Division of Culture and Communications in Thuong Tin District, said that there are four craft villages in the district, namely Duyen Thai, Van Diem, Thuy Ung, and Hong Van.
The district government will continue to encourage businesses to upgrade their service quality to meet existing standards and regulations, and thus earn the "Standard Restaurant" plaque for serving tourists, she added.
