Hanoi Times – The annual International Software and Games Festival (ISGAF) 2007 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 11 by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and Vietsoft Game.
The festival, which aims to showcase new software and equipment, is participated by 50 domestic and foreign software and game producers from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Over the past three years, Viet Nam's digital content industry, including game online, saw development in publishing and adapting imported games to the local environment. The shortage of production technology and skilled workers has led to the absence of local production.
During ISGAF, two seminars will be held to discuss challenges, opportunities and measures to develop the game and digital content industries in Viet Nam.
