Samsung to open its third S.HUB sharing space in Vietnam
On October 12, Samsung Electronics Vietnam has launched the sharing space called S.HUB in Da Nang, a modern space integrated with new technologies to serve the purpose of learning, researching and sharing ideas of young people.
This is the third S.HUB of Samsung, after 02 similar sharing spaces in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, which is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of Samsung Electronics Vietnam with theme “Samsung Future Creation”. Following the success of the model of S.HUB in Ho Chi Minh (launched in 2015) and Hanoi (launched in 2016), the Samsung Electronics Vietnam in collaboration with the Da Nang General Sciences Library introduced the Da Nang S.HUB sharing space, completing the S.HUB chain of Ho Chi Minh – Hanoi – Da Nang.
The S.HUB sharing space is designed from the model of Smart Library 2.0 of Samsung, which turned a traditional library into an open and modern space, with an aim to transpire inspiration and meet the high demand of young Vietnamese in studying and learning, as well as to connect and interact. With the support from the Da Nang General Sciences Library, the S.HUB sharing space was constructed with total investment of 7 billion VND, including the following three factors:
(1) Studying space equipped with modern technologies: upgrading the multifunction room, room for kids reading books (first floor) and research room (second floor) to create several functional areas including an area for events, an area for exhibition, an area for audiovisual, an area for study by oneself and an area for group discussion. All these rooms are equipped with outdoor projector 85”, smart screen 85” and 55”, the virtual reality VR, camera 360 degree and smart phone Galaxy S8, along with other modern devices to serve the purpose of learning and studying for young people in Da Nang.
(2) Online space for discussion: the website address www.s-hub.vn is an online portal to connect users with functional rooms in booking meeting room, area to hold event, group discussion and so on. User can also register for event, which is going to be held in S.HUB. The website also provides useful information of events held in S.HUB and managed by library staffs, so anyone who did not come to the event can still check on its information.
(3) Inspirational events for studying: In order to create maximum conditions for young people to expand their networks and relationship from educational organizations and training, as well as experts in various fields, S.HUB organized a series of activities in related to different topics such as soft skills, creativity under various form such as conference, seminar, presentation and competition. These events will help young people to have an platform to share and applying these knowledge into practical situations.
In parallel with constructing the S.HUB sharing space, Samsung also cooperate with the Da Nang General Sciences Library in organizing training courses for staffs and personnel at the library, so that they can operate the S.HUB sharing space efficiently and smoothly.
The S.HUB sharing space will officially go into operation with series of inspirational events such as: Culture explorer (October 13), Virtual Reality (October 12 – 19), S.HUB Talk Tour (October 14).
