On Oct, 11 Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung received Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Luang Prabang Khamkhanh Chamthavisouk.
Paying joyfulness with the visit of Luang Prabang delegation, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee affirmed that this would not only contribute to reinforce Hanoi – Luang Prabang tie but also the relation of both Parties, both Vietnam and Laos .

On occasion of the visit, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung briefed about the Capital social-economic development during the first three quarters of 2017. As such, Hanoi’s GRDP reaches 8.1 percent, a year-on-year rise of 0.6 percent. Foreign direct investment (FDI) with more than 300 projects attracts nearly 2.2 billion USD.
During nine first months in 2017, Hanoi welcomes 17.9 million tourist, among those number of international visitors hit 3.56 million.  The municipal authority also set the target to ensure social welfare quality, agriculture improvement, and poverty deletion…

Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung mentioned both pros and corn of Hanoi fast development. Besides above achievement, Hanoi faces with some problems of environment pollution, traffic congestion, garbage solution… However, the furthest aim of the Hanoi authority is to fulfill those shortages and bring a high-qualified living to the city’s residents.
Paying respect to warm welcome from Hanoi authority, Governor Khamkhanh Chamthavisouk expressed the vast impression with Hanoi development and shared some achievement of Luang Prabang during the past time. Those positive outcomes, according to the Governor, has the remarkable contribution from Hanoi, for example, in constructing Luang Prabang Administration-Politic School and bilateral agriculture experience exchange program.
Hence, Governor Khamkhanh Chamthavisouk is in high hope that his visit would contribute more to strengthen Hanoi – Luang Prabang friendship, favoring bilateral comprehensive cooperation, especially in 2017 – the special friendship year of Vietnam and Laos.  
In details, Luang Prabang province’s leader paid the desire that Hanoi authority would keep facilitating bilateral collaboration as well as positive delegation exchanging so that both sides can learn from each other. The Governor proposed Hanoi authority to maintain the program of exchanging experience in orange plan, supporting healthcare equipment, and broaden Hanoi enterprise community network in Luang Prabang. He also invited Hanoi high-level delegation to visit Luang Prabang province.  Especially, the Luang Prabang authority wishes to earn support from Hanoi to construct a road named after the city.
Congratulating development achievement of Luang Prabang province, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung agreed with proposals of Luang Prabang governor that both sides would intensively swap delegation, enterprise groups to expand the bilateral cooperation. As for him, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee pledged to facilitate cooperative activities via directing related authorized agencies to maintain and develop projects. Among those, Hanoi would keep sending doctors to Luang Prabang to treat and offer free medicine for heart patients in Luang Prabang. About the proposal of Hanoi road in Luang Prabang, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung highly appreciated the idea, which he would report to Hanoi’s Party Committee for approval.
Via discussion, both sides also concurred to widen experience exchanging in old value conservation, tourism development as well as intensively swap art teams to enhance mutual understanding as well as bilateral friendship.
