PM approves master plan for Ca Mau Cape national tourism site

The Ca Mau Cape is expected to be one of the largest eco-tourism centers in the country by 2025, allowing visitors to experiencing lush mangrove forests.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a master plan for the development of Ca Mau Cape national tourism site until 2030.

Located in Mui Village, Dat Mui commune, Ngoc Hien district, about 120km from Ca Mau city, Ca Mau Cape national tourism site will be developed into one of Vietnam’s largest eco-tourism centers and become a popular destination on Mekong Delta tours.
According to the plan, to attract domestic tourists, firstly, Ca Mau Cape national tourism site must offer visitors options for sightseeing and exploring.
Secondly, by 2025, the site will begin to focus on attracting high-end tourists, with an orientation towards resort tourism, eco-tourism and entertainment.
Thirdly, by 2030, high-end tourism will be the site’s priority.
In addition, Ca Mau Cape national tourism site must focus on tours to experience the southernmost point of the country in combination with watching the sunrise and sunset on the sea, discover the Gulf of Thailand on luxury yachts, tours of the mangrove ecosystem, and community-based tourism which enables foreign tourists to experience local life.
The center of the Ca Mau Cape national tourism site will be at villages of Mui, Kinh Dao Tay, Kinh Dao Dong, Rach Tau Dong, Rach Tho, Khai Long and at Dat Mui commune of Ngoc Hien district, with a total area of about 2,100 ha.
Secondly, the area designated for eco-tourism in Dat Mui and Vien An communes, with an area of about 3,850 ha, is adjacent to the Ca Mau Cape national tourism site.
